London, June 11 (ANI): Photographs of ace Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo with a senior Real Madrid official 22 weeks ago in Rome, negate the claims made by Madrid president Ramon Calderon that there is no evidence his club tried to lure Manchester United winger.

The exclusive picture shows the Manchester United ace with Real Madrid's fitness coach Walter Di Salvo, who quit Old Trafford for Spain, The Sun reported.

Calderon insisted on Tuesday that Manchester United have "no evidence" that the Spanish giants have acted inappropriately in their pursuit of Cristiano Ronaldo.

FIFA confirmed on Monday that they had received an official request from United to investigate the matter, with the English club claiming Madrid have carried out a deliberate campaign to unsettle the 23-year-old Portugal winger.

But Calderon is adamant that his club have no case to answer. He said: "They don't have any evidence because nothing has happened."

"All there is what the papers say and rumours that the player seems to want to leave. But at the moment a move is impossible because United don't want to sell him," he added.

"It's United's right (to complain), but we haven't done anything and we are not going to do anything. It's a matter between the player and his club," Calderon said.

But that looks inconceivable thanks to The Sun's dramatic picture, which will be given to United as they urge FIFA to take action against Real.

Meanwhile, Real boss Berndt Schuster fuelled the row by again insisting that Ronaldo would be a great signing for the Bernabeu giants. (ANI)
