TUESDAY, Feb 12, (News Locale) - It is always said that people are at their most dangerous when pushed to the wall. Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh appears to be a prime example. Stunned by a racism charge for allegedly calling Andrew Symonds a monkey and then all the drama that went along with it, Bhajji has emerged a tougher man.
So much so that when crowds in the first One-dayer at Brisbane booed him, the young spinner was inspired to perform better.
"It gives me a lot of pleasure that everybody knows me in the ground and are going for me. That inspires me to do well," he said tongue-in-cheek.
Bhajji has also been in better form with the bat something that has allowed India to shrug away the indifferent form of Yuvraj Singh. The southpaw has been batting badly all through the tour. Harbhajan Singh is giving his side a lower-order cushion and said that Yuvraj should be back in form soon as he is a champion batsman.
India's win against the Aussies at Melbourne means the Commonwealth Bank Series is nicely poised with all three teams having an equal chance to make the best-of-three finals.
