Zapak introduces gameplex, ‘Zapak Live’ in Mumbai Print E-mail

Close on the heel’s of Microsoft launching its first Xbox Lounge in India, Zapak now has introduced it Zapak Gameplex at I-max Wadala in Mumbai.  

However, unlike Xbox that made its maiden launch in India in Mumbai, Zapak Gameplexes have already been launched in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Chandhigarh, Indore, Pune, Jaipur and New Delhi. The Mumbai launch makes a full circle as in denotes that the trend of gaming lounges has finally caught up with India.

At the Zapak gameplex gamers can visit the pavilions and stalls housing all gaming related manufacturers, developers, accessories, publishers and service providers. Additionally, they can also register for the tournament at the official website.

The Zapak gameplex at I-Max Wadala in Mumbai will include a 35-seater gaming zone, gaming titles, ambience and gaming PCs. According to the company, the Mumbai gameplex will offer the gamers a place to play the latest games and also buy the latest gaming machines and hardware.

Zapak is also organizing a three-day gaining tournament called Zapak Live at the Times Gizmos and Mobiles Show at the Mumbai World Trade Center from December 21. Winners at the tournament will be awarded cash prizes worth Rs 2 lakh and other gaming gizmos.

According to Zapak Digital Entertainment Limited Chief Operating Officer Rohit Sharma, Zapak Live is an endeavor by the company to expose the people to gaming. He claimed that the event would enable the gamers to ‘live, breathe, enjoy and even eat’ games. The target audience for this show is all between the ages 15-55.
