Transcend launches latest multi-card reader in India |

WEDNESDAY, DEC 26, 2007, (News Locale) - Transcend, a principal producer of flash memory products and peripherals, has launched its new Multi-Card Reader M5 India. According to the company, M5 is a stylish and compact card reader that includes is adapter-free and can perform multi-formats. Backed by memory cards, M5 also enables fast and easy music, video, photo and document transfers through a high-speed USB 2.0 interface.
M5 is unique for it has a niche for about every memory card currently in the market. The company claims that this new multi-card reader has slots for memory cards like CompactFlash and Microdrive cards, SD cards, xD cards, Memory Stick series, and miniSD and microSD cards.
This feature enables the M5 card reader to transfer data and other multi-media files from memory cards in digital camera, camcorder, cell phone, PDA, Smartphone and even GPS devices, but only after downloading the software.
In addition to the high-speed USB 2.0 interface that can transfer data at the speed of 480 Mbps, the M5 supports the latest SD 2.0 (SDHC) and MMC 4.0 standards for high-end memory cards.
It is also able to diametrically accept latest mini phone memory cards such as miniSD, microSD, MMCmobile MS Duo and M2 without the need for an adapter.
The Transcend M5 multi-card reader is can be availed in two colors – pink and ivory and has been priced at Rs 700 in the Indian market.
