FRIDAY, JAN 18, (News Locale) - India's first audio conferencing facility called SabSeBolo (Talk to Everyone) was launched yesterday by Sabeer Bhatia, the man behind Hotmail.com. SabSeBolo.com is also the first free and non-reservation facility in the country.
Talking to reporters Mr Bhatia said the service was intended for small and medium enterprises and would be a great supplement for their communications with suppliers and partners. Users wishing to avail this service need to register at SabSeBolo.com. The system will allot them a unique conference id as well as a PIN.
The next step is to dial 91-22-3980 4444 and start conferencing after entering their conference id and pin, which are permanent for a given username.
Mr Bhatia also said that SabSeBolo.com would be welcomed by young people as it will allow them to conference with their group of friends at any time. SabSeBolo.com will also be able to keep track of conference calls as records.
Yogesh Patel, co-founder of SabSeBolo.com also revealed that they were planning to launch many useful applications like online conferencing scheduler, conference manager, dial-out service, voice broadcast and voice telecast shortly.
Sabeer Bhatia gained fame as the founder of free e-mail service Hotmail.com. The service was acquired by software giant Microsoft for a reported sum of $400 million. He is also associated with Arzoo.com, which did not take off in a big way. Bhatia was named by TIME as one of the "People to Watch" in International Business in 2002.
He also started BlogEverywhere along with Shiraz Kanga and Viraf Zack and introduced Live Documents in November last year as an alternative to the Microsoft Office suite.
