Pentax, in collaboration with India Digital Life Style Distributors, has launched its latest digital camera model – the 8 mega pixel (MP) digital camera Optio Z10 along with a wonderful 7 optical zoom lens in the Indian market.
Among other things, Optio Z10 offers features like shake reduction to prevent blurring of images, face identification with high speed detection at just 0.03 seconds and a refractions lens system that does not allow the lens to overhang while zooming.
Optio Z10 also boasts of a 2.5 inch LCD monitor that allows the user a 170-degree viewing angle from every focus, a digital wide function, data imprint function and FotoNation’s red-eye compensation function.
It also includes AF (auto focus) and AE (auto exposure). In addition, the new digital camera presented by Pentax includes ACDsee for PENTAX 3.0 image viewer/image management software backed by Windows Vista and supports PictBridge, Eixf Print, DPOF functions and Print Image Matching III.
The camera is sleek, stylish, light weight, and easy to use. However, Optio Z10 also has negative aspects like shutter lag, noise while high ISO settings and absence of optical image stabilization. It is being sold in the Indian market by India Digital Life Style Distributors and has been priced at Rs 20,990.
Launching the new product, India Digital Life Style Distributors assistant vice-president, sales Surinder Saini said that the Optio Z10 includes as many as 15 shooting genres for different environments and can perceive faces of as many as 15 persons immediately. According to Saini, the camera offers a unique photography experience to the users bringing in premium picture quality.
