FRIDAY, April 18, (News Locale) - Cell phone enthusiasts in India will soon have their hands full with a wide range of choices after Motorola unleashed their newest product, MotoRokr U9 with the company's brand ambassador Wyclef Jean handing over the first piece to Miss India World 2008 Parvathy Omanakuttan.

The sleek and light cell phone is packed with a number of cutting edge features which includes a borderless external display screen with animated screen savers that look as though they are floating across the surface.

The U9 is fitted with 25MB of on-board user memory, which could be extended to 4GB by opting for a microSD memory card. The large amount of memory allows the inclusion of Microsoft Windows Media Player 11 along with an integrated music player that supports a wide range of audio formats.

Motorola have also included the CrystalTalk technology for increased clarity during calls and Stereo Bluetooth wireless technology allows users to experience wireless mobile stereo. The U9 supports Motorola Setup, Backup, and Text which can be used for the easy installation of Internet browsing.

Other features include a 2.0 mega pixel camera with video capture, playback and 8x zooming capabilities, Push email, MMS and SMS capabilities and faster transfer and access of data using USB 2.0.

Users can easily identify the songs being played in the immediate surroundings by making use of U9's Music ID1 feature which records the music being played and then sends it to the server through GPRS to get the artist and album information of the song before displaying it back to the user.

Motorola revealed that they will be releasing the U9 in two different versions; the Deluxe Pack, which includes a 1GB microSD card and is priced at Rs 10,000 and the Premium Pack costing over Rs 15,000 and fitted with 2GB microSD card along with Bluetooth Rokr S9. The U9 will be available in the market by the end of May this summer.
