SATURDAY Feb 2, (News Locale) - In a disappointing announcement for PC gamers, Microsoft reiterated that its newest Halo game, Halo Wars will remain an Xbox 360 exclusive.
Rumors were doing rounds of Internet that Microsoft was planning a PC version of its real-time strategy game, Halo Wars with a major feature being cross platform multiplayer mode that will allow PC gamers to compete against Xbox 360 owners.
However Microsoft was quick to squash the rumor, stating that it has no intention of releasing a PC version as of now and the game will remain Xbox 360 exclusive, bringing a "groundbreaking console RTS experience" to the console.
"Halo Wars is being developed from the bottom up for the Xbox 360 and its control scheme to ensure that we deliver a groundbreaking console RTS experience. Given that, we have no plans to develop Halo Wars for Windows Vista at this time", a spokesman for Microsoft told IGN.
Halo Wars is a real time strategy game developed by Age of Empires creator, Ensemble Studios, which makes use of the Halo universe where gamers take control of UNSC armies and square up against enemy Covenant forces.
