Search engine giant Google Inc is now looking to get its hands on San Francisco-based gaming ad firm, Adscape Media, in order to expand its advertising services to into video game systems. Adscape Media has developed a software through which it can deliver ads through the internet onto the gaming systems. Reports have suggested that Google could wrap up the deal by as early as next week. Google has wanted to enter this region of advertising opportunity for a long time now. The Wall Street Journal reported that Google has been trying to develop such a system as while it is still in its fetal stage, Google does not want to miss this opportunity as most of the next-gen consoles are connected to each other through internet. This gives a chance to the advertisers to put their ads in the background of the games. Meanwhile it has been reported that Google is currently negotiating with broadcasting company CBS Corp. about TV and radio advertisements. Though Google stopped short of saying that it is considering making a bid, Adscape's chairman Bernard Stolar has flatly rejected the claims saying that Google is yet to approach the company.
