MONDAY, Feb 25, (News Locale) - The 9-series graphics cards have been officially launched in India with XFX confirming that they will be selling their latest product, GeForce 9600 GT in the Indian markets.

With 650 MHz processing power, the XFX GeForce 9600 GT is available in the Extreme and XXX XFX-overclocked versions. This means the Extreme edition the GPU is converted to 680 MHz, while it goes to 700 MHz in the XXX edition.

9600GT is compatible with PCI Express and the new PCI Express 2.0 bus architecture and displays HD DVD and Blu-ray video with amazing clarity. The card supports DirectX 10 along with Lumenex engine, Unified Architecture and Nvidia's Quantum Effects, using HDMI certified components.

The GPU is every gamer's dream with the inclusion of Nvidia SLI technology meaning that users can pair the card with an identical 9600-based card and thereby doubling the performance of the set up. XFX said that the card will come with a Company of Heroes DVD as a bonus game and a HDMI component kit.

The company revealed that the card is as useful for non gamers who can utilize its Nvidia PureVideo HD technology for picture quality and ultra-smooth movies. The 9600 GT has duallink DVI support, which enables it to drive high resolution displays that reach up to 2560 x 1600 pixels. High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) support is also provided with the card

The XFX 9600 GT card is priced at Rs 13,990 coming with a three year warranty and is available at all branches of Rashi Peripherals Pvt. Ltd
