FRIDAY, Mar 28, (News Locale) - Research In Motion (RIM) has announced the availability of the BlackBerry 8820 on T-Mobile for US customers.
The BlackBerry 8820 has BlackBerry Internet Service support besides having exclusive features like BlackBerry Maps, which allows users to navigate seamlessly between meetings. Users can also make use of TeleNav GPS Navigator to receive accurate directions to their next meeting venue.
The BlackBerry 8820 has Speaker Independent Voice Recognition for Voice Activated Dialing features and is also supported by BlackBerry Enterprise Server that enables hassle-free integration with IBM Lotus Domino, Microsoft Exchange, and Novell GroupWise.
With stunning looks in a midnight blue color, the BlackBerry 8820 promises to be the ultimate companion of the consummate professional. Leslie Grandy, vice president of product development at T-Mobile USA, said as much, adding that the new smartphone "provides unparalleled value for our customers at home, at the office and everywhere in between.”
The BlackBerry 8820 has 320 x 240 color display and includes Bluetooth capabilities and Roxio Media Manager to allow easy organization of all media files. The phone also offers in-built GPS support besides being compatible with quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks.
It is expected that the phone will retail for $350. BlackBerry is a popular smartphone world and is available in India as well. It is estimated that there are 400,000 BlackBerry users in the country.
