Aamir Khan Signs On As Samsung Brand Ambassador |

THURSDAY, Mar 13, (News Locale) - Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, who is known to be choosy over his brand endorsements, has been roped in to promote Samsung mobile handset models.
Aamir, who recently was voted the best director for his sensitive film Taare Zameen Par, will endorse Samsung mobile phones that are being promoted with the tagline “Next is what?”
Samsung also announced the introduction of five new handsets that are targeted at youth as well as corporate consumers. Currently Samsung models are priced between Rs 1,700 to Rs 28,000, but Samsung Telecommunications India announced that the newer models will have a higher price tag.
Samsung South West Asia Headquarters President and CEO H B Lee was confident the company would be able to double its market share in India in the coming year, "With Aamir Khan as our brand ambassador, our strong, differentiated product line-up and our enhanced distribution reach, I am confident that we should be in a position to double our market share in India this year," he added in a statement.
Aamir Khan becomes the second Bollywood celebrity to endorse a handset company after Shah Rukh Khan, who is the brand ambassador of Finnish mobile giant Nokia.
