3G iPhone Set For a Grand Debut This Friday |

THURSDAY, July 10, (News Locale) - The all-new 3G iPhone is set to make a grand global debut on Friday in what is easily the most awaited product launch in this quarter. Gadget lovers are queuing up to get their hands on the 3G version of Apple's most popular product.
The iPhone 3G was released by Apple CEO Steve Jobs at the Apple World-Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June. The iPhone has gained massive popularity because of its ability to allow users to play music, use the cell phone and also enable web browsing from a single device.
Users were clamoring for a 3G version, which has how been released although it was originally scheduled for a Christmas launch. Some of the novel features in the new version include fast 3G wireless technology, GPS mapping, support for enterprise features like Microsoft Exchange, and the new App Store.
Users will be able to download innovative applications using the App Store, while the 3G feature allows then to download email over fast 3G cellular networks.
Support for Microsoft Exchange Server will bring push e-mail, contacts and calendar, remote wipe, global contacts access, and auto-discovery to the iPhone.
The best news for iPhone lovers is the price tag of the 3G iPhone. At $199 (approx Rs 8,500), the new version is more than affordable and Apple is targeting Blackberry and handheld Palmtops with aggressive pricing policy.
Indian customers can book their 3G iPhone as Vodafone and Airtel have introduced pre-registration for the iPhone 3G on their Web sites. Apple's iconic iPhone will hit Indian shoes sometime this year possibly September.
The new 3G iPhone is available in black only although Apple has promised to release black and white models with the 16 GB version sometime in 2009.
