FRIDAY DEC 28, 2007 (News Locale) - All is well with the Republican presidential candidate and former New York Mayor Rudolph W Giuliani. A week after he spent a night in the hospital with a critical headache, his physician Dr Valentin Fuster at the Mount Sinai Hospital has confirmed that Giuliani is in perfect health.
According to Dr Fuster, Giuliani has undergone a series of tests, including one helps detect a stroke or bleeding in the brain, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis last week, but nothing abnormal was reported.
It may be mentioned that last week while Giuliani was on his way to New York, he complained of a ‘terrible headache’ forcing his aircraft to be brought back to St. Louis. He was taken to the Barnes-Jewish Hospital where he was kept under tests for a night.
Dr Fuster, said that Giuliani had to be hospitalized owing to a ‘major headache and fatigue’ last week, but was absolutely normal now. According to the medic, these could be symptoms of flu, but not any deadly disease.
The tests conducted on the former New York Mayor included a CT-MRI of the brain, an ultrasound of the carotid arteries, a spinal-fluid evaluation and a PSA screening for prostate cancer, the doctor said. It may be mentioned here that Giuliani had battled a prostrate cancer in 2000, but did not suffer from it any more.
Soon after, Giuliani was released from the hospital; he went back to campaigning on Wednesday and left for a three-day trail to Florida. Reports said that the Republican presidential candidate for November 2008 polls is currently focused on Florida’s primary on January 29. Talking to the media, Giuliani said that he was feeling ‘great and terrific’.
