The sensational criminal complaint has prompted the Mumbai Police Crime Branch to undertake a probe into the allegations against Star Plus.

In her complaint lodged with the Oshiwara police station, item girl Rakhi has alleged that the channel authorities have been biased in declaring the dancing pair Sanjida Sheikh and Amir Ali as the winners of the show.

Stating that the result was an ‘eye-wash’, Rakhi stated that although the channel has claimed that the winner was chosen on the basis of popular SMS votes from the audience; in reality all SMSes in her favor were blocked.

Meanwhile, the officer in-charge of Oshiwara police station Dilip Patil has confirmed that Rakhi and her beau Abhishekh Awasthi have submitted a joint written complaint alleging malpractices by Star Plus.

He said that the police have accepted the complaint, but was yet to register a case in this connection. Patil said that police team will probe into all aspects of the matter before deciding whether it deserves further actions, including filing a formal case.

It may be mentioned here that Rakhi and her beau Abhishek Awasthi had lost in the final round of ‘Nach Baliye 3’ to TV actors Sanjida Sheikh and Amir Ali. This has prompted Rakhi to convene a press conference soon after lodging her complaint and allege that the Star Plus authorities were deliberately promoting Sanjida Sheikh and Amir Ali as they were acting in different soaps now being shown on the channel.

In the meantime, Rakhi’s actions have not been taken too kindly by many. According to a section of the media, the item girl has the knack of being in the news for wrong reasons and this time too she has managed to make a non-issue an issue to hog limelight.

Her critics say that this is a simple case of ‘grapes are sour’ and Rakhi, instead of taking the results sportingly, has been trying to malign others.

hi i think SANJEEDA N AMER were more deserving than rakhi.She is really DRAMA QUEEN. SHE SHOULD ACCEPT HER DEFEAT WITH OPEN HEART. IT IS RIGHTLY SAID ''GRAPES R SOUR''.
