New York, Aug 3 (ANI):  Queen of pop Madonna liked to think that she was legendary sex siren Marilyn Monroe. 

According to the New York Post, Monroe's ex husband, Yankee legend Joe DiMaggio often told friends that Madonna thought she was the famous blonde star.

What's more, Madge was also reportedly crazy about DiMaggio because he'd been married to Monroe.

He also mentioned her Vogue song in which she would rap "Greta Garbo and Monroe, Dietrich and DiMaggio."

However, the Yankee Clipper wasn't so eager to meet Madge, seeing her interest in him as weird bordering on creepy.

Madonna, in the meantime, has been denying reports that she's the reason for the break-up of A-Rod's marriage to wife Cynthia. (ANI)
