London, July 22 (ANI): Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus is yearning for a more 'normal' life, because being a star stops her from doing things that most teenagers would do.

Cyrus has been out of touch with ordinary life for so long that even her friends have jokingly stated that she lives 'on a different planet'.

For the 15-year-old actress, there is never a time when she can go shopping or just enjoy a day out without being mobbed by fans of her Disney character, Hannah Montana.

"It's weird because I feel like a normal teenager. But then when I go out and about I'm like, 'Ok, I'm not in a normal life. It's not a normal world'," Daily Telegraph quoted her as telling US television show Good Morning America.

"Sometimes I'm like, 'Oh, I want to go to the mall,' thinking I'm totally going to be able to shop around. But then I'm like, 'Ok, so I'm not a normal teenager'," she added.

Having a normal life for her means being able to do all the things that a normal teenager would do, and she fantasises about how great High School must be, but her friends tell her a different story.

"They say, 'It's not all happy and smiley. It's probably much harder than your job, Miley'," she said.

But being a star does not mean that she has stopped being a human being, insists her Hannah Montana co-star, Jason Earles, who defended her Vanity Fair pics.

Speaking to People magazine last week, he said Cyrus was still young and didn't always make "the best decisions" regarding her personal life.

"If people saw the amount of positive things that she does, they would see how silly the picture 'scandals' really are," he said.

"Parents still have the responsibility to tell their kids what's right and what's wrong. Miley is not going to raise your kids for you," he added. (ANI)
