However security officials for the family learned about the plot and have subsequently stepped up vigil.  "Information came out that leaders of the gang ordered their LA members to devise a plan to kidnap Pax before demanding a ransom of $100 million for his safe return," an insider told the magazine, adding that the couple would have had a few days to pay the ransom or face the risk of losing the boy.

However a spokesman for Brangelina has denied the claims in the report.

Meanwhile Us Weekly has said Jolie is making tall claims of being a stay-at-home mom when in fact she has a third project at hand.

"After adopting three kids in five years, it's possible that [Angelina's] picked up a form of domestic addiction... Sources tell Us that the couple of more than two years have been at odds about expanding their brood so quickly after Shiloh's birth," the magazine claimed.

It added that Brad and Ange had a huge argument before they went to Vietnam to pick up Pax.
