J.K. Rowling's seventh and final Harry Potter book "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," is all decked up with a neat cover and ready to go for its scheduled July 21 launch.
Curious fans lapped up the cover, which depicts Harry in a background sky of oranges and golds. Harry is reaching out to the sky amid obvious scenes of destruction around him. Fans are desperate to know the boy wizard's fate in this final book. Author Rowling has indicated that two characters would meet their end, but has not revealed their identity.
The fear is that Harry Potter is about to meet his end.
Elaborating on the final jacket to adorn Harry Potter books, David Saylor, Scholastic's Vice President and Creative Director said, "The structures around Harry show evident destruction and in the shadows behind him, we see outlines of other people. For the first time the cover is a wrap-around. On the back cover spidery hands are outstretched towards Harry. Only when the book is opened does one see a powerful image of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, his glowing red eyes peering out from his hood."
The sixth installment of Harry Potter books; "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," created a record by selling nearly 7 million copies in th first 24 hours after its release. The book was released on July 16, 2006.
Harry Potter novels are immensely popular among all age groups with the previous six versions selling 325 million copies worldwide.
