Singer-actress Beyonce has been named at the "most desirable woman" this year as per the results of a survey by Web site AskMen.com.

Beyonce, who stars in the musical "Dreamgirls", improved her position from 50 last year to top the survey this year. Beyonce has also earned a Golden Globe nomination for her role in the movie. Most viewers of Askmen.com are aged between 18 to 34 years. This year they decided that Beyonce was on top of their list of "fantasy girlfriends" in 2007.

AskMen.com is one of the most popular lifestyle web sites on the Internet, according to comScore MediaMetrix. This year a record 8.5 million online votes were cast in the annual poll, which began six years ago.

Screen star Scarlett Johansson is the runner-up in this year's survey followed by last year's winner Jessica Alba.
