LONDON - A BBC investigation into the cash-for-honours allegations was halted after Attorney General Lord Goldsmith obtained an injunction preventing the broadcast of an item linked to the scandal on Friday. The BBC has revealed that the basis of this legal injunction was an internal e-mail between two members of Tony Blair's "inner circle."

U.S. astronaut Lisa Nowak escaped with lighter charges being levied on her after Florida prosecutors chose to bring charges of attempted kidnapping, burglary and battery on Friday. Capt. Nowak was in the docks for attacking a romantic rival with pepper spray last month.
