London, September 27 (ANI): Passengers on a Chinese Shandong plane were made to push the aircraft along the runway owing to its engine failure.

The CRJ7, which was carrying 69 passengers and 7 flight crew, broke down before it could be taxied to the arrivals terminal.

The passengers were asked to get out and push the aircraft since it was too heavy to be pushed by the airport staff alone.

The aircraft, which had travelled 500 miles before its engine conked off on the runway, took around 2 hours of pushing before it reached half a mile to a side lane.

"Thank God it was only a 20-ton medium-sized plane," Telegraph quoted one of the airport workers as saying.

"If it were a big plane, it would have knocked us out," the worker added. (ANI)

London, October 1 (ANI): British actress Sienna Miller, who won a privacy case in January against a paparazzi, has yet again won a case over the publication of her intrusive photos.

The star has recently accepted 15,000 pounds in damages from the 'Daily Star' after it published her privacy-invading photograph taken in LA.

Claiming the intrusive photo violated her personal space, the 'Alfie' actress had taken action against the newspaper, who later printed an apology as well, reports BBC.

"We apologise to Sienna for publishing this photograph," the Daily Star stated.

The newspaper also said that it accepted that she was "extremely harassed and distressed by persistent pursuit and intimidating tactics" adopted by the paparazzi.

The actress had won a similar privacy lawsuit in January against a photographer who took her nude pictures while she was filming for 'Hippie Hippie Shake'.

Following her claim that the photos were taken without her consent, a London High Court had passed the judgement in her favour. (ANI)

Kathmandu, Oct 6 (ANI): Nepal Home Minister Bamdev Gautam has said that the army integration will be completed without hassles.

Addressing an interaction programme here today, Gautam said, "We will soon form a special committee as per the constitutional provision. It will decide whether to integrate all of the PLA or those who fulfill certain parameters into the Nepali Army."

"This process will be carried out in such a manner that everyone will be content," he added.

Gautam dismissed possibilities of collapse of the current government.

"There is no alternative to this coalition. Any possibility of government's collapse arises only when there is an alternative," he said.

Gautam said that the security situation in the country will be maintained up to full satisfaction within next six months, Nepalnews reported. (ANI)

Melbourne, Sept 17 (ANI): Consuming alcohol can be good for your heart, but you have to be a lazy smoker with an aversion to fruit and vegetables to reap the full benefits, suggests a Brit researcher.

UK's leading researcher on the link between health and behaviour, the Australian expatriate Michael Marmot, found that smokers with the worst diets and poorest exercise habits could consume as many as 14 standard drinks a week, and still cut the risk of having a heart attack, stroke or other form of cardiovascular disease.

Greater quantities were less beneficial, though still better for those people than being teetotal.

But fit non-smokers who ate well increased their chances of falling prey to heart disease by drinking moderately compared with not at all, though their absolute risk was still much lower than that of their unhealthier peers.

Professor Marmot, from the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health at University College, London, said health advice should now be modified to reflect how people may be differently affected.

"Most people drink for reasons other than alcohol's health benefits, but the widely publicised [heart protection] benefits may be used to justify or increase their habit," theage.com.au quoted him, as stating.

The study has been published in the Journal Of Epidemiology And Community Health.

"The most [protective] effects from moderate drinking were found among those with the worst behaviour profile," he added.

People should still clean up their lifestyle act rather than turning to drink, Professor Marmot said.

He said: "Stopping smoking, eating more fruit and vegetables and taking more exercise will also reduce coronary heart disease risk and have fewer side-effects."

The findings come from the long-running Whitehall study of British public servants, which has followed the health fortunes of 10,000 Londoners since the 1980s. (ANI)
